Sta. Elena High School

            In 2000, the Department of Education launched in the Special Program in the Arts. This nationwide program aims to foster the potentials of artistically-inclined students. Public high schools that offer this program are selected based on the criteria established by the Department of Education. The Special Program in the Arts implements a secondary education curriculum with an additional subject that is centered in the arts. With the K-12 curriculum, the Special Program for the Arts remains as part of the Philippine Education System under “Programs for the Gifted and the Talented” according to the Implementing Guidelines for the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.
